Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect only what we need to design, make and deliver your jacket:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored by our authentication provider, never readable by us).
• Order details: the wearer's name, graduation year, jacket size and measurements you enter, the design (text, numbers, patches), the school, and the shipping address.
• Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation; we never see or store your full card number.
• Team and school information entered by coaches or school staff: roster names, emails, numbers, positions and awards.
• Usage information: pages visited, steps completed in the builder, and the campaign link you arrived from (UTM tags), used to improve the site and measure our marketing. We do not use advertising pixels or sell this information.

How we use it

To build and price your design, take payment, send the order to GAME Apparel (the manufacturer that makes every jacket), let your school review designs where required, ship the jacket, and send you order updates.

To answer questions, prevent fraud, keep records required by law, and improve the site.

We send marketing email only if you ask for it, and every marketing message has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to fulfil your order and run the service, never for others' advertising:

• GAME Apparel, to manufacture the jacket (the design, size, wearer's name and shipping details).
• Your school's athletic department or booster club, when your school reviews designs or runs a team order.
• Service providers acting on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Modal (rendering design previews), and our email providers.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our customers and business.

Students and children

Lettered is meant for high-school students and their families. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Many jackets are ordered by a parent or guardian for a student. We use a student's name and details only to make and deliver their jacket and, for team orders, to show the roster to their coach or school.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember a design in progress and the campaign link you arrived from (for 30 days). We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to support your jacket (including later additions and repairs) and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Saved designs and accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your account details at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@letteredandco.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law; we honor them and will not treat you differently for using them.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit, access to order data is limited by role (customers see their own orders; schools see their own school), and payment details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and we'll tell account holders by email about significant changes.
